Billy Slaughter is president of Panta Rei Productions and is writer, executive producer, and one of the stars of the feature film "Utility," which was on schedule to shoot in New Orleans in 2006, when he and the project lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. nicole barre'~instructor

Nicole Barre' is one of the most dynamic and sought-after acting instructors here at John Robert Powers New Orleans. With nearly 20 years in the entertainment industry--both as an actor and behind the camera--Nicole offers a unique insight to all who take her classes offering a fun yet challenging atmosphere. Born and raised in New Orleans, La, Nicole moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2000 where she worked as an actor and also spent 3 years working as a personal assistant to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their family. Her work with Ms. Jolie and Mr. Pitt enabled her to travel around the world and proved to be an invaluable learning experience and stepping stone. While not globetrotting with the Jolie-Pitts, Nicole focused on her career as an actress, studying her craft with her now-mentor, Steve Helgoth. Steve trained under Tony-Award-Winning Broadway and film actor Uta Hagen, in New York City and brought all he learned to the west coast. Nicole credits Steve with "changing her acting life." In 2007, Nicole decided to move back home, to where her heart was, New Orleans. The burgeoning film community here in "Hollywood South" as it is affectionately called has been very kind to Nicole. Since her return home, Nicole has booked a national LINCOLN commercial with Harry Connick Jr., appeared in the Lifetime movie, RACING FOR TIME and recently completed a starring role in the not-yet-released horror film WHISPERWOOD, starring Jessica "Sugar" Kiper from CBS’ SURVIVOR GABON.
